Oh my goodness, it’s been so long since I’ve been an active member of the tumblr community. I’ve been ridiculously busy… but please know in my absence that I’ve missed you all very much! Hopefully I’ll figure out a way to make more time for this special little slice of the internet world very soon!
Until then, I do post somewhat frequently about my life and happenings on twitter: @mskathleenmay
My neighbor found a kitten on her property and asked it if was mine. It wasn’t, but I told her if she couldn’t find anyone who wanted it and it was a stray, to bring it back and I’d take care of it tonight… but I’ve completely fallen in love with it. As far as looks are concerned, it’s the kitten I’ve always wanted. It’s all black, except for a tiny spot of white on the chest. Oh, and “it” is a beautiful young lady. She’s incredible sweet and gentle, and has the most lovely purr. I just noticed that she has an extra toe, but it just makes her that much more adorable in my eyes.
But I still live at home with my parents. And I’m nearly absolutely, certainly positive that I can’t keep her… and my heart is completely breaking. I’ve never wanted anything MORE (except for my darling dog, Judy).
This is such a dilemma. She’s mine, and I’m hers, I truly believe that…
WHAT AM I GOING TO DO??

My tumblr title has always been Miss Kathleen May, but it’s time for change! I’ve been trying (and failing miserably) to begin a separate, serious, authentic blog, and I’m still completely dedicated to the idea. If it weren’t for my work schedule, I’d be unstoppable! The blog I speak of is still in its infancy, but it’s entitled ”She Sang of Folly and Fable” and I’ve decided to expand that name to my tumblr as well. I’m even considering a complete name overhall, changing my business email and shop name also. Actually I’m pretty certain that I will, it just seems like a lot of effort tonight…

That is EXACTLY how I’ve been feeling. You may have noticed I haven’t been around lately, at all. That’s because recently I did the “grown up” thing and got a full-time job. Exciting, right? Well, kind of…
The exciting part is I’m doing exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life! And I’m not completely flat-out poor anymore! The not so exciting part is it’s a 45-50 minute commute each way, five days a week, which equals really long, tiring days. By the time I get home, it’s 7:00pm and all I want to do it eat dinner, hop into my jammies, hunker down on the couch to catch up on my DVR recordings… and then go to bed, preparing myself for the next exhausting day.
I miss having time for Tumblr… Don’t Grow Up! It’s A Trap!

My mom and I had a movie date yesterday and watched Mirror Mirror. With so many highly anticipated films for 2012, it’s definitely not going to be one of the best of the year, but it was adorable! I recommend it for people who have kids (the humor was very innocent). Or if you’re like me, a person who enjoys fairytales no matter their age.
In anticipation, I read all of The Hunger Games books again, twice, before I saw the (incredible, breathtaking, heartpounding) movie. I spent the last three nights reading Divergent. I’m already impatiently waiting for the sequel, which is available in a month. I bought Matched today and plan on starting it before I fall asleep tonight.
There’s just something about a controlling society and an inspiring heroine that I just cannot get enough of… I suppose I’ll read other genres again, eventually…
I’d like to thank my followers for sticking with me even though all I’ve been posting the last few days is The Hunger Games / Josh Hutcherson (I promise I’ll calm down eventually).
Also, “Hello and Welcome!” to the new people who stumbled upon me because of those posts.
I guess I’m guilty of abandoning Tumblr for two entire weeks. Opps, my apologies! I’ve been hard at work with preparing to open my Etsy shop, studying, working, thrifting, etc. When I’ve had any moments of pure peace and relaxation, I’ve spent those (rare) moments reading and watching my favorite television shows. I’ve missed Tumblr though, so I have returned. Be prepared for many posts involving The Hunger Games. I’m nearly dead from all my excitement over the film!
